I know the truth about my religion. I know that God created us and the world. There is no scientific explanation that can tell us how we were created because God is our creator. He was the only person who was capable of doing this. He is the only person who has those powers to create us and the world. He is our Father and we are his children. That is why God sent his son, Jesus, to save us from original sin. If God didn’t love us he wouldn’t have allowed his son to give up his life for us. Jesus is our savior. He was crucified on the cross. Jesus was willing to suffer in order to save us from original sin. He was willing to die for us. This is what I know to be true.
What do I need from my parents?
My parents are always there for me. I know that I can count on whenever I need to. One thing I need from my parents is trust. I wish that at times they would trust me to do things. I know that sometimes they don’t allow me to do things because they want what’s best for me. Also I need my parents to communicate with me more often. We don’t communicate as much as we could. I think the main reason why we don’t really talk to one another is because we all get wrapped up in doing other things that we don’t make time for the people we love. I think that we should communicate more often so our relationship between one another gets stronger.
What do I want to learn from my culture?
I want to learn more about my culture’s music, history, and the typical dress of
Peru. I want to know which instruments are involved in the music of my culture. I know some things about my culture’s music, but I think that there’s more information that I need to know. The typical music of Peru is called musica criolla. Musica criolla has a little of African American style in it. Also in Peru you’ll find other styles of music. I would love to know more about the history of my culture’s music. I also want to learn about my culture’s history. I want to learn more about the Incas. The Incas were originally a Peruvian highland tribe who spoke Quechua. I want to know what type of economy was developed during the Inca Empire. Another thing that I would like to learn about my culture is the typical dress worn. I have always wondered why the typical dress has so many bright colors. Today in Peru only a small number of the population continues to wear the typical clothing. I think that it’s very important for me to learn more about my culture’s music and typical clothing because these are two important aspects of my culture.
Success to me means setting goals in life and achieving them. In my opinion, in order to be successful you need to have money and have an education. I think success has to do with money because money can buy many things. Someone who has money is a very successful person. I also think that in order to have success you need an education. If you loose all of your money you can always fall back on your education. No matter what happens you will always have your education.

Three aspects of my culture, Peruvian, that I would put in a box would be language, food, and the celebration of a quinceanera. I chose language as one of my culture’s aspects because I believe language plays an important role in my culture. Spanish is the official language in Peru. My friends and I mostly speak Spanish in school. Peruvian food is important to my culture because Peru is known for its delicious cuisine. Also i believe the celebration of a quinceanera is an important aspect of my culture. A quinceanera is celebration that marks the transition from childhood to womanhood.
The case of Watson v. United States was argued from October 8, 1975 to January 26, 1976.Khoury was the one who told a postal inspector that the defendant, Watson, had been stealing credit cards. The postal inspector wanted to arrest Watson who was stealing the credit cards. In order to catch the man while committing the crime the inspector told Khoury to have a meeting with the man. Their meeting took place in a restaurant. If Khoury saw the man stealing credit cards he had to give a signal. The defendant was arrested because Khoury gave the signal. The defendant was not found with credit cards. Then the inspector searched the defendant’s car and found two stolen credit cards. This case was sent to the Supreme Court because the court couldn’t decide if the arrest was lawful or unlawful. The court’s decision was that the arrest was lawful because a peace officer can arrest a person for a felony when it takes place in his presence and he can arrest the person when he has reasonable grounds to believe that the felony took place.
Zaira- I agree with the decision of the Supreme Court that the arrest was lawful. The Board of Governors of the Postal Service authorizes Postal Service officers performing duties to make arrests without warrant only if they have reasonable grounds to believe that the person to be arrested has committed or is committing a felony. Since the Broad of Governors had authorized the officer to arrest someone who is committing a felony and the officer had seen it than he didn’t need a warrant. Also since the officer didn’t need a warrant he didn’t go against Amendment four. Amendment four talks about search and seizure and it says that an officer needs a warrant in order to search someone’s personal things. In this case the inspector didn’t need a warrant because the Board of Governors had authorized any employees performing duties that had to do with inspection to arrest someone who they see has committed a felony or knows that’s about to happen doesn’t need a warrant because he had seen the felony being committed he searched the defendants personal things without a warrant.
Maria- I disagree with the Supreme Court because I believe the arrest was unlawful. The problem is this case is based on the search and seizure which is Amendment 4.According to this amendment, which was ” the rights of person’s accuesed of cimes’ is an example how they searched the defendant’s car which was privacy ownership. This amendment protects the right to privacy. Law officers must follow strict guidelines before they can violate this privacy. Like going to the defendant’s car, they must be authorized by a judge who will issue a search. The search warrant has to be really specific. Describe where you’re searching at, what searching for, etc. The courts have ruled that even illegal items like two stolen credit cards found during an unauthorized seach cannot be used as evidence during as trial.
My experience during this project was a pleasant one. I had a pleasant experience because we all got along with each other. We all worked together in order to do a great job on our project. My favorite experience while doing this project was when we all did our best to finish our project. Also my least favorite experience was when we would get frustrated that we didn’t understand what to do since we would have technical difficulties. What I would change about my experience was that we should have used other types methods to chat and then we wouldn’t of been so frustrated. Overall I think we did a great job in this project.
The book The Outsiders made we see life from a different point of view. I would of never thought that things like that would of happened back then. I thought that the book was going to be based on other things. The author of the book took a risk of publishing this book and writing about violence. The reason why I liked this book so much was because it was realistic. This is a great book to read.
Fear and Survival
After reading chapters eleven and twelve the words that popped in my head were fear and survival. Survival and fear were shown in these chapters many times. Like the time when Darry, Ponyboy, and Sodapop go to court. They went to court to talk about the death of Bob. This showed fear because if Ponyboy got in trouble with the law, that would mean that Ponyboy and Sodapop would be taken away from Darry’s care. Also these chapters showed survival because Ponyboy was able to live without thinking about Jhonny’s death. At first Ponyboy would say that Jhonny wasn’t dead and that he was still alive. When they went to court Ponyboy was prepared to say that he killed Bob and Jhonny had nothing to do with it. Soon after he realized that Jhonny was dead and he wouldn’t see him anymore. Another time when fear was shown was when Ponyboy and Darry were fighting. Sodapop ran out mad at them. Sodapop was crying because he was always in the middle of things. Ponyboy and Darry were scared about Sodapop because they hadn’t realized this before. This is why they promised that they wouldn’t fight anymore.
Fear

After reading chapters nine and ten I thought of the word fear. Fear is shown in these two chapters many times. Fear is shown when the rumble is starting. Everyone is afraid of losing in the rumble. Also the gang was afraid of Jhonny dieing. When the rumble was over the Greasers were happy that they won. Dally and Ponyboy rushed to the hospital. They were pulled over by a police officer for speeding. Dally and Ponyboy were scared of what the police might say about their bruises, so Dally told the police officer that Ponyboy had fallen off his motorcycle. They were escorted by the police officer and arrived in record time. Once they got to the hospital they rushed to Jhonny’s room. Jhonny died short after. Ponyboy and Dally were scared of not knowing how to live without Jhonny. Dally was devastated after leaving the hospital. He robbed a store and the police was chasing him. He pointed the gun at a police officer. The gang was afraid that Dally might die. The police thought Dally was going to kill someone so they shot him. Another fear the gang had was of loosing Ponyboy. The gang was scared because Ponyboy had a concussion. He was asleep from Saturday to Tuesday. I think the gang showed fear many times during chapters nine and ten.

*~~~~~~Friendship~~~~~~*
After reading chapters seven and eight the word that defined these two chapters was friendship. In these chapters friendship is demonstrated because the gang is back together. Everyone was reunited with one another. When Ponyboy came back him and Darry stopped fighting and became closer. Also another way friendship is shown is when Ponyboy and Two-Bit go visit Jhonny and Dally in the hospital. Also when Jhonny wanted a copy of the book Gone with the Wind, Two-Bit went to go buy him one. This showed that they were true friends because they were there for each other. The greasers became closer almost like if they were brothers. Another friendship I saw was between Cherry Valance and Ponyboy. In chapter eight they start to argue about what was happening with Jhonny and about the rumble that was going to happen. In the end they wanted to help each other. I think this showed friendship because they both were willing to help each other and friends help one another.
